Music Miscellany for 07/16/2014 – Part II

Let’s jump right to the music.

First up is Roddy Frame with “Postcard” from his new album, the first in eight years, Seven Dials.  This has a kind of throwback 70’s rock sound to it a la Steely Dan or the Eagles.  The album will release in the US on August 12th.

Up next is an interesting take on the Tears for Fears’ hit “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” from Lucius.  It is the b-side to the 7 inch single for “Genevieve.”

Wrapping up this edition is The Tins with “Let It Go.”  It’s a bit of indie-pop goodness from their album Young Blame due out on the 29th.
