Music Miscellany for 3/20/2018

In today’s edition we kick things off with the dance-able electronica/pop of The Lagoons on “Escape.” Up next is the atmospheric pop of Andro on “Liar.”  Lava Dolls are seemingly channeling their inner Avett Brothers on “Behind You With Knives.” Wrapping it all up is the Americana rock sounds of Young Valley on “Til I Cross Your Mind.”

I’m With Her – See You Around

Exciting news today as the band I’m With Her announced the release of their debut album See You Around due on February 16th on Rounder Records. Here is the title track from the album.

I’m With Her combines the musical might of Aoife O’Donovan, Sara Watkins, and Sarah Jarosz. It’s like Voltron, if Voltron was a band and the lions were vocal harmonies.

Henry Chadwick – Overtime – Video

Henry Chadwick draws influences from musicians of the past and on this one he is certainly channeling some Beatlesesque harmonies and sensibilities. Here he is with the video for “Overtime” from his self-produced EP Guest At Home.

In today’s edition we have The Sarah Allen with a sound that is definitely unique, but definitely good. The indie sound of My Darling Fury. Rounding out this edition is the indie-folk sound of Suntrodden.
