Music Miscellany for 3/20/2018

In today’s edition we kick things off with the dance-able electronica/pop of The Lagoons on “Escape.” Up next is the atmospheric pop of Andro on “Liar.”  Lava Dolls are seemingly channeling their inner Avett Brothers on “Behind You With Knives.” Wrapping it all up is the Americana rock sounds of Young Valley on “Til I Cross Your Mind.”

Music Miscellany for 3/19/2018

Kicking off Music Miscellany today is the laid back indie rock sound of Mute Choir with “Behind the Bars.” System Corporation brings an 80’s electronica/synth vibe on “Apathy is Easy.” Louisville’s own Frederick The Young bring the neo-psychedelia on their new single “Human Child II.” Wrapping up this edition is Black Light White Light with their brand of psychedelia, which invokes Magical Mystery Tour era Beatles in my mind, on their new single “Teenage Dream.”

Daniel Ellsworth & the Great Lakes – Paralyzed – Video

New single and new video from Daniel Ellsworth & the Great Lakes. “Paralyzed” is from the upcoming Chapter One EP due out in January of next year. The EP will be the first in series of releases next year to be followed by Chapter Two and a full album titled Fashion.

Music Miscellany for 9/14/2017

Today in Music Miscellany we start things with the upbeat indie pop of My Little Hum with “Rise Over Run.” Sven-Erik Olsen’s indie rock is, in my opinion, channeling the Beach Boys on “Sketchbook Traces.” Floral Couches pump the synth-pop with vibes of the 80’s on “Ketamine Dreaming.” Wrapping up this edition is Jason Herring & the Mystery Plan with their electro-pop single “electric love.”

Music Miscellany for 7/21/2017

Violet Sands kicks off this edition with an indie pop sound on “Drive.” Anna of the North brings the 80’s tinged synth pop on “Someone.” Raveen’s dream pop is lush and ethereal on “Always.” Wrapping up this edition is the alt-rock of The Tambo Rays on “Always Down.”
