New York, NY - 3/22/2013 - Since their formation in their beachside hometown of Cronulla, New Empire have set hearts on fire and brought audiences to life with their explosive brand of stadium-ready indie rock. Today, Golightly Media in conjunction with Fata Booking, are extremely excited to announce that the Australians will be returning to the United States to join the 2013 Vans Warped Tour. Comprised of schoolmates Jeremy Fowler, Kyle Lane and Kale Kneale, the electric three piece elevate themselves amongst their peers, penning anthems bursting with a refreshing sense of emotiveness and social conscious. Idling comfortably between the emphatic anthems of The Killers and the uninhibited honesty of pop punk greats like Taking Back Sunday, New Empire encapsulates the voice of a modern generation that is impossible to ignore. Their 2011 sophomore release, Symmetry is an organic and progressive step forward for the band. Recorded between the lush landscapes of Byron Bay and the Central Coast in Australia, the album comes as the culmination of years of writing, touring and, as principal writer Jeremy explains, learning. "Songs were recorded in the moment. We pressed record in the studio and what came out is what you hear on the record. We left some mistakes in this time." With upbeat tracks like the infectious, "Here In Your Eyes," to the stripped back honesty of "Ghosts," Symmetry cements New Empire as a true force amongst a new wave of musicians. Symmetry garnered attention on a mass scale, and saw the band voted into the Top 4 Australian artists on Channel V, while their anthemic track, "One Heart/A Million Voices" featured throughout the broadcast of the 2012 Olympic Games. The band went on to tour with the likes of Owl City, Switchfoot, Good Charlotte and Simple Plan and spent last summer on a brief but epic stint on the 2012 Vans Warped Tour, playing 10 shows in 10 days across The States.
