Music Miscellany October 30th, 2013

As I’m celebrating the first day of my last year being able to use the ‘thirtysomething’ moniker here is some new music for your listening pleasure.

First up the fuzzy guitar laden sounds of Sleepy Sun with their single “The Lane” from their self titled 7″ available now at http://smarturl.it/sleepysun7.

Up next a classic covered by an unconventional duo.  Norah Jones and Billie Joe Armstrong covering the Everly Brothers on “Long Time Gone” the first single from Foreverly due out 11/25.

Finally the pop punk goodness of Le Trouble of which Spin magazine has said ‘ride that thin line between Meat Loaf, Hall and Oates, and punk.’  Personally I think they sound a bit like early Arcade Fire.  This is from the EP Reality Strikes.
