Music Miscellany for 3/20/2018

In today’s edition we kick things off with the dance-able electronica/pop of The Lagoons on “Escape.” Up next is the atmospheric pop of Andro on “Liar.”  Lava Dolls are seemingly channeling their inner Avett Brothers on “Behind You With Knives.” Wrapping it all up is the Americana rock sounds of Young Valley on “Til I Cross Your Mind.”

Music Miscellany for 3/19/2018

Kicking off Music Miscellany today is the laid back indie rock sound of Mute Choir with “Behind the Bars.” System Corporation brings an 80’s electronica/synth vibe on “Apathy is Easy.” Louisville’s own Frederick The Young bring the neo-psychedelia on their new single “Human Child II.” Wrapping up this edition is Black Light White Light with their brand of psychedelia, which invokes Magical Mystery Tour era Beatles in my mind, on their new single “Teenage Dream.”

Lake Jons – Colors

Lake Jons has released a new single from their upcoming self titled debut, Lake Jons, due out in January of 2018. The new single is titled “Colors.” Lake Jons is a trio out of Helsinki whose sound alternates between electronic, experimental, avant garde, and pop.

Time to power through your work day with more music. First up is Mammals with a cover of Telepopmusik’s “Breathe” off of the Drug Boulevard label. Up next is some dreamy alt-pop from Lunch Ladies with “Love is Overrated.” Next is the jangly guitars and psychedelia of Michelles with “All Is Forgiven.” Wrapping it all up is the sunny pop of Maggie McClure with “Be Right Here For You.”
